Community Pathway Africa organised child protection sensitisation programmes across 12 communities in the Adaklu District of Ghana’s Volta Region, reaching approximately 1,500 community members and local stakeholders.

Participants learned about the harmful effects of child abuse, neglect and exploitation, as well as children’s rights under Ghana’s Children’s Act and related child protection laws. The sessions also explained the responsibilities of families, community leaders and public institutions in preventing abuse, reporting concerns and connecting vulnerable children with suitable support services.

The programme strengthened community awareness and encouraged collective action to challenge harmful practices. Through education and advocacy, Community Pathway Africa is helping to build safer communities where every child is protected, respected and able to develop with dignity.
