CPA UK believes in the power of education to help end poverty. We work to give children the protection and education they need, and fight the inequalities that stand in their way.
CPA UK works to support children everywhere to uphold their rights and to live a life free from abuse and exploitation. We campaign with children to remove the barriers that prevent children from surviving, and learning, and are protected so that every child can reach their full potential.
CPA promotes the rights of children and addresses social norms that perpetuate violence against children by engaging in constructive dialogue with community stakeholders.
We focus on children at heightened risk, including children who are forced into hazardous child labour and trafficking, and child marriage. The charity provides rehabilitation for children rescued from hazardous labour and trafficking as we work at getting them quality basic education, healthcare, and shelter and reintegrating them back into their families or community.
CPA UK Child Labour Elimination project’s goal is to stop child exploitation in a structural manner and also tackle the problem at its roots. Given that childhood is the most crucial developmental period in an individual’s lifetime, any damage at this stage can lead to a perpetuation of the cycles of poverty, resulting in intergenerational and chronic poverty. The main approach of this project is prevention, provision, promotion, partnership, and participation.
With the support from our partners and donors; we empower project communities to build a safety net of loving and caring people to protect children and prevent harm, and ensure that those who are harmed receive the help they need to recover.
